If Sitewire Marketspace Solutions had company colors, they would be maroon and gold.
Arizona State University and Sitewire have been linked since Bret Giles and Margie Traylor founded the internet marketing enterprise in 1999.
Bret and Margie are graduates of the W. P. Carey School of Business. Their majors are marketing and accountancy, respectively. Those complementary disciplines served these former MicroAge executives well when they left successful careers for opportunities in entrepreneurship.
Now, they often hear their partnership described as a "business marriage." And, indeed, Sitewire is like a family to the team of 26 employed there. More than 60 percent of the team is made up of ASU graduates. Sitewire is an advisor/sponsor of the Carey school's chapter of the American Marketing Association.
The Sitewire team thinks of itself as a customer factory, where parts work together to create a product. Sitewire's cogs and wheels are its people and its constituents. Its vision is to be a leading online marketing company, while exceeding expectations of its constituents--employees, clients, vendors, investors and the community.
Clients include Avnet Enterprise Solutions, Circle K, Crown Golf Properties, Sage Software, Shasta Pools, SunCor Golf, Holsum Bakery and The Irvine Company.
Team recognition programs abound. They include everything from on-the-spot $100 bonuses to quarterly outings such as the Sitewire Olympics.
The business also is an industry leader in its pay-for-performance business model, where Sitewire clients may pay only for successful business transactions that the company brings them.
