Master’s in Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Designed for innovators and founders, the Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Innovation (MS-EI) is a one-year program that prepares leaders with the mindset, skillsets, and practice needed to launch successful ventures in any industry or sector, inside existing organizations or as new entities. Prepare to lead cross-disciplinary teams in a world of growing uncertainty and ambiguity: identifying needs and evaluating opportunities; generating insights from real world problems, innovating solutions; creating and launching scalable business models that provide value to all stakeholders.
The master's in entrepreneurship and innovation is a studio-based, student-centric program, where each student will be responsible as the entrepreneur working with a small founding team (as in real life startup) to make things happen. The studio approach places a high premium on preparation, critical thinking, ‘knowing and applying the referenced course concepts’, collaboration and communication. You will learn in a failure-friendly space with the goal of learning faster. Instructors will mentor you and your classmates, helping you find the resources needed to achieve your goals.
This degree is delivered by leading faculty within three world-renowned colleges within Arizona State University: the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, and the W. P. Carey School of Business.
As a STEM-designated master’s degree, the master's in entrepreneurship and innovation allows eligible graduates on student visas access to an Optional Practical Training (OPT) extension for up to 36 months, helping international students gain additional real-world skills and experience in the U.S.
Join a small founding team, tackle meaningful challenges, and prepare to make a difference in companies and communities around the world. Master's in entrepreneurship and innovation students become entrepreneurs on day one. Team up with mentors and peers, as you create, develop, and road test ventures that deliver social, environmental, and financial value.
You’ll learn by doing, through studio-based classes that mirror the real world. You’ll experience every step of the venture development process, while working on a pain point you’ve always wanted to resolve.
